Inclusiecriteria:

Actieve subfoveale CNV-laesie of juxtafoveale CNV-laesie met foveale betrokkenheid die secundair is aan AMD in het onderzoeksoog.
Een ETDRS BCVA-score tussen 60 en 25 (inclusief) letters in het Study Eye.

Belangrijkste uitsluitingscriteria:

Elke eerdere behandeling voor neovasculaire AMD.
Klinisch significante oogaandoeningen (anders dan neovasculaire AMD), die de beoordeling van BCVA, de beoordeling van de veiligheid of fundusbeeldvorming kunnen verstoren.
Elke huidige (of voorgeschiedenis van) sociale, psychologische of medische aandoening die deelname aan het onderzoek verhindert.
