Attività del sistema nervoso autonomo, invecchiamento e apnea/ipopnea del sonno in una prospettica coorte di soggetti di età pari o superiore a 67 anni
Gli effetti regolatori del sistema nervoso autonomo (SNA) riguardano quasi tutti gli organi che restituiscono permanentemente informazioni a questo sistema di vigilanza biologica globale che controlla l'allostasi. Le fluttuazioni della frequenza cardiaca dipendono fortemente dal controllo del SNA, rendendo il cuore uno dei migliori indicatori dell'attività del SNA.
Un basso livello di attività del SNA è associato a gravi eventi cardiaci e cerebrali, nonché a morte per qualsiasi causa nella popolazione generale. È anche associato all'apnea notturna/ipopnea.

- consenso informato firmato
- per partecipare allo studio PROOF
Criteri di esclusione:
- precedente infarto miocardico
- ictus precedente
- fallimento del focolare
- fibrillazione atriale
- diabete mellito insulino-trattato
- pacemaker cardiaco
- malattia che limita l'aspettativa di vita a < 5 anni
- controindicazione alla risonanza magnetica cerebrale
- vivere in un istituto
- insufficienza respiratoria con ossigenoterapia
- disturbi respiratori legati al sonno conosciuti e trattati
