この二相研究は、長期的な糖尿病関連の健康転帰を改善することを目的として、通常のケアとピア主導の 12 か月間の DSMS 介入を比較するランダム化対照試験 (RCT) です。
フェーズ 1 では、研究チームは 2 型糖尿病の成人を募集し、糖尿病の知識、促進戦略、DSMS 介入を提供するためのコミュニケーション スキルを身につける 30 時間のピア リーダー トレーニング (PLT) プログラムを実施します。 フェーズ 2 では、研究者らは、糖尿病における自己管理努力に対するピア主導、エンパワーメントベースのアプローチ (PLEASED) と呼ばれるピアサポート介入を実施します。 PLEASED アームにランダムに割り当てられた患者はピア リーダーとペアになり、最初の 3 か月間はピア リーダー (PL) から毎週 12 回のコンタクト (対面および電話サポート) を受け、その後、隔週で 18 回の電話サポート コンタクトを受けます。過去9ヶ月。
