O efeito da duração do uso do smartphone em pacientes com dor cervical mecânica crônica.
Efeitos da duração do uso do smartphone na disfunção do pescoço em pacientes jovens versus pacientes de meia-idade com dor cervical mecânica crônica
OBJETIVO: O objetivo deste estudo é investigar os efeitos da duração do uso do smartphone na dor no pescoço e no senso de posição, bem como na fadiga do Flexor Cervical Profundo (DCF) em pacientes jovens e de meia idade com dor cervical mecânica crônica.
INTRODUÇÃO: A cervicalgia é uma das causas mais comuns de distúrbios musculoesqueléticos, com prevalência de até 86,8%. Pode interferir na capacidade de realizar atividades normais da vida diária (AVD). Pacientes com dor no pescoço podem apresentar amplitude de movimento (ADM) reduzida e sensação de posição cervical diminuída.
Existem muitos fatores de risco associados à dor no pescoço, incluindo fatores fisiológicos, como idade ou fatores patomecânicos, como aumento da demanda física na coluna. O uso do smartphone tem sido proposto como um fator de risco para o desenvolvimento de dor no pescoço em adultos jovens devido à manutenção de uma postura estática prolongada ou à repetição de determinados movimentos do pescoço por um longo período. Os efeitos adversos do smartphone aumentam à medida que aumenta a duração do uso. O envelhecimento está associado ao aumento do erro de reposição cervical e redução da resistência muscular DCF, mas não está claro como os idosos responderão ao uso prolongado do smartphone.
HIPÓTESES: O aumento da duração do uso do smartphone irá
- aumentar a dor no pescoço em pacientes de meia-idade em comparação com adultos jovens com mecânica crônica.
- diminuir o senso de posição cervical em pacientes de meia-idade em comparação com pacientes adultos jovens com dor cervical mecânica crônica.
- aumentar a fadiga DCF em pacientes de meia-idade em comparação com pacientes adultos jovens com dor cervical mecânica crônica.
PERGUNTA DE PESQUISA: O aumento da duração do uso do smartphone acentuaria a dor no pescoço, o erro de reposição cervical e a fadiga do DCF na meia-idade em comparação com adultos jovens com dor cervical mecânica crônica?

Descrição detalhada
Os pacientes com dor cervical mecânica crônica serão instruídos a usar um smartphone padrão para navegar na web, por 10 ou 30 minutos, sentados em uma cadeira padrão em duas sessões separadas. A duração da tarefa será testada por uma ordem aleatória gerada pelo software Excel.
As medidas de resultado para este estudo serão dor no pescoço, fadiga DCF e erro de reposição do pescoço. Todas as medidas serão avaliadas antes e imediatamente após a execução da tarefa exigida em cada sessão por um único avaliador treinado.
A dor no pescoço será avaliada usando a escala visual analógica (VAS), a acuidade de propriocepção será quantificada medindo o ângulo de erro de reposicionamento usando o instrumento Cervical Range of Motion (CROM) e a resistência DCF será quantificada usando o dispositivo de biofeedback de pressão estabilizadora do pescoço.

Descrição
Critério de inclusão:
- Pacientes adultas do sexo feminino com idade variando de 18 a 60 anos.
- Encaminhado com diagnóstico de cervicalgia mecânica crônica há mais de 3 meses.
- Os pacientes devem ter pelo menos um ano de experiência no uso de smartphone com tela sensível ao toque.
- Ter um comprometimento do pescoço de mais de 8% no índice de incapacidade do pescoço (NDI).
Critério de exclusão:
- Qualquer história de lesão ou cirurgia nos membros superiores no último ano
- Problemas visuais, tonturas e vertigens
- Qualquer deformidade nas extremidades superiores ou na coluna
- História prévia de cirurgia da coluna vertebral.
- Distúrbios neurológicos ou sistêmicos que interferem no equilíbrio e na sensação
- Lombalgia ou deformidade.
- Pacientes com sinais de alerta, como malignidade, infecção, inflamação, mielopatia.
- Se o paciente tiver alguma dificuldade física que interfira no uso do smartphone enquanto está sentado e em pé.

A dor será medida usando a Escala Visual Analógica (VAS), que é uma ferramenta de medição de dor válida e confiável. Cada participante será solicitado a colocar uma marca em uma linha horizontal de 10 cm marcada com 'zero' em uma extremidade para indicar ausência de dor e marcada com '10' na outra extremidade para indicar dor máxima. duas sessões separadas, antes e imediatamente após o uso do smartphone pelo período especificado. |
