SATISFY-SOS の最も重要な目的は、ミズーリ州セントルイスにあるバーンズ ユダヤ病院施設で麻酔サービスを受ける外科患者および処置患者の短期および中期の転帰を評価するための厳格なプロセスを実施することです。 具体的には、患者の主要な罹患率、死亡率、および生活の質について、処置後最長 1 年間追跡調査されます。 麻酔サービスを受ける患者は、SATISFY-SOS に参加するためのインフォームドコンセントを提供します。 各患者には、ベースラインの生活の質に関する調査と 2 つの包括的な手術後の調査に回答する機会が与えられます。 これらの調査は、手術後 30 ~ 90 日後に、および 1 年後に再度、電子メール、郵送、または電話インタビューによって実施されます。 調査の質問は主に、一般的な健康、精神的健康、感情的健康、身体的健康、痛み、転倒、重篤な疾患、認知などのトピックをカバーする、標準化され検証された独自の調査ツールで構成されています。
患者から報告された転帰を収集することに加えて、術前評価から始まり、手術や処置、入院期間、集中治療に費やした時間、フォローアップのクリニック訪問に至るまでの各患者の包括的な医療記録情報がデータベースに組み込まれます。 さらに、全患者の死因を含む死亡率データは、国家死亡指数および病院記録の情報から確認されます。 これにより、意味のある包括的な電子データ クエリ機能が可能になります。 SATISFY-SOS イニシアチブの傘下で、私たちは具体的な科学的根拠に基づいた患者中心の品質改善プログラムを実施し、それらが日常の臨床ケアに導入された際に効果的であることを保証するつもりです。 さらに、将来の IRB 承認の研究プロジェクトでは、匿名化された SATISFY-SOS データを利用することができます。

データの有効性と完全性を確認するために、データの定期的な内部監査が毎月行われます。 同意プロセスは毎年監査されます。 レジストリに最初に入力されたデータは、その後に入力されたデータと比較されます。 感度分析は、データがランダムに欠落しているかどうかを判断するために実行されます。 患者から報告された転帰から得られたデータを、医療記録内のデータのサンプルと、また電話で再度連絡を受けた患者のサンプルから得たデータと比較することが計画されている。 主要なデータ フィールドのデータ ディクショナリは現在コンパイル中です。 レジストリ操作、患者募集、データ収集、データ管理、データ分析のための標準操作手順が開発されています。 この活動に起因する有害事象は想定されていません。 複数の結果が追跡されています。具体的なサンプルサイズは計算されていません。 感度分析は、欠落しているデータまたは利用できないデータに対して計画されています。 現在のところ、代入の予定はありません。 統計分析は、対象となる変数と結果によって異なります。 このレジストリは現在、合計 36,000 人の患者を登録するために IRB によって承認されています。 これは、治験審査委員会の承認を待って、その後の拡張の対象となります。
