El Deslizamiento Lateral Cervical (CLG) es una técnica de movilización de tejido neural capaz de lograr un efecto hipoalgésico durante la aparición de síntomas de dolor cervicobraquial. Esto sucede a través de una serie de interacciones fisiológicas complejas que no se entienden completamente. La técnica de Fisioterapia CLG consiste en movimientos controlados del tejido neural cervical y del plexo braquial. El efecto hipoalgésico que produce CLG se asocia a un aumento de la movilidad del tejido neural, edema, inflamación y reducción de la presión intraneural, sin efectos secundarios conocidos cuando se aplica correctamente, salvo un empeoramiento momentáneo de los síntomas (único efecto secundario conocido de CLG), que es un contraste importante con el amplio ya veces severo espectro de efectos secundarios derivados de la terapia con medicamentos utilizados para tratar el dolor cervicobraquial.
Se cree que el efecto hipoalgésico que ofrece la movilización del tejido neural es una consecuencia de la actividad de modulación del dolor del sistema nervioso descendente y una mejora en las distintas propiedades biomecánicas del tejido neural involucrado. A pesar del aumento del interés científico en las opciones basadas en la evidencia para tratar el dolor y Técnicas de movilización de tejido neural En la actualidad, existe una falta de suficientes ensayos clínicos doble ciego controlados que midan la eficacia de las técnicas de movilización de tejido neural como la CLG y su efecto específico sobre el dolor cervicobraquial. Por tal motivo la presente investigación consistió en la aplicación de un protocolo de tratamiento basado en la movilización de tejido neural CLG en un ensayo clínico controlado doble ciego con el objetivo de evaluar su efectividad clínica en el tratamiento de los síntomas del dolor.

Descripción
Criterios de inclusión:
- Diagnóstico clínico de dolor cervicobraquial confirmado por resonancia magnética
- Presencia de síntomas unilaterales de dolor en el brazo, parestesia o adormecimiento en la extremidad superior durante al menos 3 meses continuos previos a la aplicación del tratamiento.
- Resultados positivos en todas las siguientes pruebas: Spurling, Distraction y Upper Limb
Criterio de exclusión:
- Contraindicación en el uso de antiinflamatorios no esteroideos (AINE)
- El uso de cualquier tipo de tratamiento, terapia, procedimiento o medicamento para aliviar el dolor
- Pacientes que están bajo medicación anticonvulsiva, antidepresiva o psicotrópica
- Inestabilidad vertebral
- Osteoporosis vertebral
- Infección vertebral o de columna.
- Enfermedades neurológicas de origen genético, infeccioso o neoplásico
- Mielopatía por estenosis cervical
- El embarazo
- kinesiofobia
- Trastornos endocrinos y menopausia
- Historia de la cirugía de columna
- Discapacidad intelectual, enfermedad mental grave, intoxicación, privación grave del sueño, enfermedad de Alzheimer.

EXPERIMENTAL: Deslizamiento lateral cervical
|
El procedimiento de movilización neural Cervical Lateral Glide no quirúrgico no invasivo fue aplicado por un fisioterapeuta de forma continua durante 2 minutos en 5 ocasiones diferentes con 1 minuto de descanso entre cada aplicación de 2 minutos de la técnica de movilización neural.
La intervención se aplicó durante un período de 6 semanas.
La alineación lineal correcta de la columna cervical del paciente se determinó mediante el uso inicial de un dispositivo goniómetro universal en cada aplicación de movilización neural con deslizamiento lateral cervical.
