研究の適格基準を満たす合計7,000人のメディケア受給者が同意され、全米の施設で30カ月間にわたって登録される。 多様性を確保するために、この研究には少なくとも2,000人の黒人/アフリカ系アメリカ人、少なくとも2,000人のラテン系/ヒスパニック、そして他の人種的および民族的背景からの最大3,000人の追加参加者が登録される予定です。 PET 前の疾患段階に基づいて、すべての参加者は疾患段階として MCI または認知症であると分類されます。 PET前の臨床症状に基づいて、すべての参加者は「典型的」(つまり、 進行性健忘症)、または認知症または MCI の潜在的な原因としての AD の「非定型」臨床症状。

包含基準:
- メディケアを主保険とするメディケア受益者。
- 2018年国立老化研究所 - アルツハイマー病協会研究フレームワークによって定義された軽度認知障害(MCI)または認知症の臨床基準を満たしています。
- 登録前24か月以内の脳MRIおよび/またはCT。
- 登録前12か月以内の臨床検査評価(全血球計算[CBC]、標準血液化学プロファイル、甲状腺刺激ホルモン[TSH]、ビタミンB12)。
- プロトコールで要求されているアミロイド PET に耐性があり、参加している PET 施設で実施できること。
- 英語またはスペイン語を話すこと(インフォームドコンセントの目的)。
- 喜んで同意することができます。 同意は代理による場合があります。
- 精神神経症候群は、「臨床的に典型的」または「臨床的に非定型」のカテゴリーに分類できます。
除外基準:
- 認知テストや重要な情報提供者によって検証されない、正常な認知または主観的な訴え。
- 紹介した認知症の専門家の意見では、アミロイドの状態を知ることは、患者や家族に重大な心理的危害を引き起こしたり、悪影響を及ぼしたりする可能性がある。
- 以前のアミロイド画像または脳脊髄液分析に基づいて、患者または紹介する臨床医にすでに知られているアミロイドの状態。
- 抗アミロイド治療試験への現在または以前の登録。
- スキャンは、認知症の家族歴、アポリポタンパク質 E (ApoE) 4 の存在のみに基づいて、または常染色体変異保有者が疑われる場合の遺伝子型検査の代わりに指示されています。
- 非医療目的 (法律、保険適用、雇用審査など) で注文されたスキャン。
- 積極的な治療を必要とするがん(非黒色腫皮膚がんを除く)。
- 登録前12か月以内の股関節/骨盤骨折。
- 体重が PET スキャナーの重量制限を超えています。
- 現在妊娠中、または登録後90日以内に妊娠を計画している。
- 併存疾患に基づく平均余命が24か月未満。
- 熟練した介護施設に居住していること(介護付き住宅施設は除外基準ではありません)。
