Critère d'intégration:
-> 18 ans (H/F)
-Diagnostic de cirrhose : i. Par biopsie hépatique ii. Ou forte suspicion de cirrhose selon les critères acceptés pour le diagnostic clinique de la cirrhose (par ex. œdème périphérique ou varices, lobe gauche dur palpable du foie, petite envergure du lobe droit ou splénomégalie palpable), et/ou preuve radiologique de cirrhose (par échographie abdominale, scanner ou IRM, montrant un foie nodulaire et/ou des collatérales porto-systémiques avec porte perméabilité veineuse et/ou ascite et/ou splénomégalie et/ou déplacement colloïdal sur une scintigraphie foie-rate aux isotopes colloïdaux) et/ou variables de laboratoire (plaquettes 1.3) iii. Présence de varices œsophagiennes (sans épisode de saignement variqueux antérieur) ou HVPG≥10 mmHg 12 mmHg d'un test précédent.
-A été programmé pour des tests d'étude hémodynamique, y compris la réponse à un traitement aigu.-
Critère d'exclusion:
- Patients recevant déjà des bêta-bloquants
- Carcinome hépatocellulaire
- Thrombose de la veine porte
- Contre-indications au bêta-bloquant non sélectif Propanolol
- Maladie hépatique cholestatique
- Maladie cardiaque, pulmonaire ou rénale sévère.
- Le patient a déjà subi un pontage chirurgical pour obésité morbide
- Le patient a une résection étendue de l'intestin grêle
- Toute intervention chirurgicale majeure au cours des 3 derniers mois.
- Le patient est un receveur de toute greffe d'organe
- Patient allergique au paracétamol.
- Patients prenant des médicaments hépatotoxiques
- Le patient, sur la base de l'avis de l'investigateur, ne doit pas être inclus dans cette étude.
- Patients incapables ou refusant de signer un consentement éclairé
- Patients qui participent à d'autres essais cliniques évaluant des traitements ou des procédures expérimentaux ou qui ont participé à un essai clinique au cours des 3 derniers mois.

Expérimental: Méthacétine (pour BT) avant/après traitement Propanolol.
Le test respiratoire à la méthacétine (MBT) sera effectué avant et après (dans les 2 heures) l'injection de la dose de propanolol (BB) et une fois de plus après 60 jours d'administration orale de propanolol.

La méthacétine est enrichie en carbone 13, un isotope stable non radioactif, et s'est révélée sans danger dans des centaines d'études.
Le matériau est très similaire à l'acétaminophène.
75 milligrammes (mm) de ce matériau pré-dissous dans l'eau sont utilisés.
Ce matériau subit un métabolisme rapide par le foie.

Les changements entre MBT au niveau de base et après traitement chronique au Propranolol
Délai: 7 jours

Le MBT sera à nouveau effectué sur les sujets après 60 jours de traitement par bêtabloquant oral et ses résultats seront comparés aux valeurs MBT précédentes.
