Definiëren van componenten van fysiotherapie Bereiken van maximale functie na totale knievervanging
Het algemene doel van deze studie is om vast te stellen welke onderdelen van de fysiotherapeutische zorg geassocieerd zijn met het beste door de patiënt gerapporteerde functionele resultaat na een totale knievervanging (TKR).
De onderzoekers kijken specifiek naar de resultaten op 6 en 12 maanden na de operatie.

Deelname Criteria
Onderzoekers zoeken naar mensen die aan een bepaalde beschrijving voldoen, de zogenaamde geschiktheidscriteria. Enkele voorbeelden van deze criteria zijn iemands algemene gezondheidstoestand of eerdere behandelingen.

Studie Bevolking
Patiënten die kiezen voor een totale knievervanging op een van de deelnemende PT-locaties.
Beschrijving
Inclusiecriteria:
- Zijn gepland om een electieve, unilaterale primaire totale knievervanging te ondergaan vanwege artrose van de knie
- Krijgt ambulante PT van een deelnemende fysiotherapeut.
- Spreek af om hun lichaamsbeweging en activiteit op specifieke tijdstippen in het onderzoek vast te leggen.
Uitsluitingscriteria:
- Totale knievervanging gepland voor andere indicaties dan OA (bijv. breuk, maligniteit, infectie of revisie of eerdere implantatie)
- Het onvermogen om geïnformeerde toestemming te verkrijgen vanwege cognitieve aandoeningen.
- Niet-Engelstaligen, aangezien de materialen die in dit project worden gebruikt, nog niet zijn getest met niet-Engelstaligen
- Personen die nog niet volwassen zijn (baby's, kinderen, tieners)
- Zwangere vrouw
- Gevangenen
