- Badanie kliniczne NCT06953583
Faza 3, 2-częściowe, randomizowane, podwójnie ślepe, kontrolowane placebo badanie (część 1) i rozszerzenie otwartego (część 2) w celu oceny skuteczności, bezpieczeństwa, farmakokinetyki i farmakodynamiki omaweloksolonu (BIIB141) u uczestników z Friedreich ATAXIA AGED 2 do 16 lat do 16 lat do 16 lat do 16 lat do 16 lat do <16 lat
To badanie zostanie wykonane w następujący sposób:
- Uczestnicy będą badani, aby sprawdzić, czy mogą dołączyć do badania. Okres badań przesiewowych będzie do 28 dni, po czym uczestnicy sprawdzą swoje centrum badań badawczych.
- W tym badaniu są 2 części. Podczas części 1 uczestnicy przyjmą BIIB141 lub placebo raz dziennie.
- W części 1 uczestnicy przyjmą BIIB141 lub placebo w centrum badań badań 1 dnia, a następnie podczas wizyt osobistych w 4, tygodniu 12, tygodniu 26 i tygodniu 52. Część 1 trwa do 52 tygodni.
- Podczas części 2 uczestnicy z części 1 albo będą nadal przyjmować BIIB141, albo uruchomią go, jeśli przejęli placebo. Część 2 potrwa do 104 tygodni.
- W części 1 uczestnicy będą mieli do 10 wizyt w swoim Centrum Badań Badań i rozmowę telefoniczną w 2 tygodniu.

Part 1: Change From Baseline in Columbia Suicide Severity Rating Scale (C-SSRS) at Week 52
Ramy czasowe: Baseline, Week 52
|
The C-SSRS is a low-burden measure of the spectrum of suicidal ideation and behavior that was developed to assess severity and track suicidal events through any treatment of individuals ≥ 6 years of age.
The C-SSRS is a clinical interview providing a summary of both ideation and behavior that can be administered by the clinician during any evaluation or risk assessment to identify the level and type of suicidality present.
The assessment includes "yes" or "no" responses for 5 questions each, related to suicidal ideation (wish to be dead, non-specific active suicidal thoughts, active suicidal ideation with any methods, active suicidal ideation with some intent, active suicidal ideation with specific plan) and suicidal behavior (preparatory acts or behavior, aborted attempt, interrupted attempt, actual attempt, suicide).
Numeric ratings are provided for severity of ideation, from 1 to 5, with 5 being the most severe.
