Et fase II-studie af protonbaseret strålebehandling med elektiv bækkenknudebestråling, samtidig docetaxel og adjuverende androgendeprivation for højrisiko prostataadenokarcinom
Formålet med denne undersøgelse er at se, hvilken effekt, god og/eller dårlig, protonbaseret stråling kombineret med lavdosis kemoterapi og hormonbehandling har på patienter og deres cancer.

Inklusionskriterier:
* Adenocarcinom i prostata.
Ekskluderingskriterier:
- Tidligere behandling af prostatakræft såsom kemoterapi og/eller bækkenbestråling.
- Aktiv inflammatorisk tarmsygdom (diverticulitis, Crohns sygdom eller colitis ulcerosa), der påvirker endetarmen. (Ikke-aktiv divertikulitis og Crohns sygdom, der ikke påvirker endetarmen, er tilladt.)
- Historie om hofteudskiftning.
- Tidligere intrapelvic operation. Dette inkluderer følgende:
- Transrektal eller rektal kirurgi bortset fra polypektomi eller fjernelse af hæmorider eller bånd
- Transabdominal bækkenoperation
- Blæreoperation
- Tidligere myokardieinfarkt (MI) eller kongestiv hjerteinsufficiens (CHF).
- Tager Saw Palmetto eller methotrexat og er ude af stand til eller uvillig til at stoppe brugen under stråling.

I alt 54 koboltgrå-ækvivalenter (CGE) over 30 behandlinger til prostata + sædblærer (SV), derefter protonboost i alt 23,4-27 CGE over 13-15 behandlinger til prostata +/- SV.
Lavdosis docetaxel hver uge under strålebehandling (RT) efterfulgt af androgen-deprivationsterapi i 6 måneder.

I alt 45 Gy over 25 behandlinger til prostata + SV + LN, derefter protonboost i alt 32,4-36 CGE over 18-20 behandlinger til prostata + SV.
Lavdosis docetaxel hver uge under RT efterfulgt af androgen-deprivationsbehandling i 6 måneder.
