Monitoraggio dell'attività respiratoria e dell'attività postoperatoria

I ricercatori studieranno gli adulti sottoposti a chirurgia addominale elettiva con un rischio almeno moderato di complicanze polmonari postoperatorie.
I partecipanti verranno monitorati sul petto e sulla coscia con dispositivi che registrano il loro schema respiratorio (volume e frequenza del respiro) e la posizione e i movimenti del corpo. Questi monitor verranno posizionati sulla pelle nell'unità di cura post-anestesia (PACU) e rimarranno accesi per tre giorni, o finché il paziente non sarà in grado di deambulare liberamente o fino alla dimissione dall'ospedale, a seconda di quale evento si verifica prima. Gli investigatori analizzeranno l'associazione tra la frequenza, la durata e l'intensità di varie attività (ad esempio, sedersi, camminare) e la respirazione e altre complicazioni cliniche, in combinazione con i farmaci ricevuti e altri eventi del decorso ospedaliero.

Criterio di inclusione:
- Deve avere almeno 18 anni
- Deve essere sottoposto a un intervento chirurgico addominale
- Deve essere ad alto rischio per PPC (punteggio ARISCAT uguale o superiore a 26)
Criteri di esclusione:
- Chiunque abbia meno di 18 anni
- Chiunque non sia sottoposto a chirurgia addominale
- Chiunque non sia ad alto rischio di PPC (punteggio ARISCAT inferiore a 26)

Monitoraggio postoperatorio
L'accelerometro ActivPAL verrà posizionato sul torace e sulla coscia, un monitor ExSpiron verrà posizionato sul torace e il paziente sarà osservato per tre giorni, fino alla completa deambulazione (in grado di camminare per 30 metri senza assistenza con o senza deambulatore) o fino alla dimissione ; qualunque cosa accada prima.
