Ferramenta de diagnóstico de incapacidade para disfunção erétil: um estudo de viabilidade de tecnologia da informação em saúde
Objetivo 1: Desenvolver e validar uma Ferramenta de Diagnóstico de Incapacidade Rasch (RDDT) do Departamento de Emergência (DE).
Hipótese:
- A modelagem Rasch fornecerá um instrumento com melhores propriedades de medição, incluindo maior confiabilidade e validade em comparação com a medida de incapacidade (MOD) ED atualmente disponível.
Objetivo 2: Conduzir um estudo controlado randomizado para avaliar a utilidade do ED-RDDT para reduzir as reinternações em beneficiários do Medicare que visitam um Departamento de Emergência urbano para doenças não traumáticas
Hipóteses:
- Em comparação com a ferramenta de triagem padrão, o ED RDDT reduzirá a reutilização do hospital (consultas de emergência, internações hospitalares ou morte) dentro de 60 dias após a alta.
- O ED RDDT reduzirá os custos do Medicare, hospitais e pacientes.

Descrição
Critério de inclusão:
- Pacientes que se apresentam ao pronto-socorro adulto no Yale New Haven Hospital (YNHH)
- 65 anos ou mais
- Destinatários do Medicare
- Moradores da comunidade.
Critério de exclusão:
Os pacientes e seus responsáveis serão excluídos pelos seguintes motivos:
- não fala inglês
- sofrendo de uma condição que impede a entrevista, ou seja, comprometimento da comunicação
- incapaz de fornecer dois números de contato para acompanhamento
- apresentam psicose aguda ou são suicidas.
