Description détaillée
Cette étude est un essai randomisé contrôlé par placebo dans lequel les sujets affectés à la cohorte de jeûne modifié subiront des cycles hebdomadaires consécutifs de jeûne modifié pendant deux jours consécutifs.
L'objectif principal est d'évaluer les effets de périodes répétées de jeûne modifié sur le poids corporel.
Les objectifs secondaires comprennent l'évaluation des effets du jeûne modifié sur le pourcentage de graisse corporelle, le tour de taille et les niveaux à jeun de hs-CRP (hs-C-reactive protein), IL-6 (interleukine-6), IL-8 (interleukine-8 ), IL-12 (interleukine-12), TNF-a (tumor necrosis factor-alpha), IGF-1 (insulin-like growth factor 1), IGFBP-1 (insulin-like growth factor-binding protein 1) , Total Cholestérol, cholestérol LDL, cholestérol HDL, glucose, triglycéride, insuline, vitamine D, 25-hydroxy,
Les participants subiront des évaluations des tests sanguins, des signes vitaux, de l'IMC, du poids corporel, du tour de taille et du pourcentage de graisse corporelle.

Critère d'intégration:
- Ambulatoire, homme ou femme, 21-65 ans
- Un indice de masse corporelle (IMC) de 23 à 34,9
- Généralement en bonne santé et n'ayant aucune difficulté significative avec la digestion des aliments
- A été généralement stable en poids au cours des six derniers mois
- Disposé à interrompre l'utilisation de tout supplément de multivitamines ou de vitamine D (hors étude) pendant l'étude
- Volonté et capable de donner un consentement éclairé écrit
- Comprend clairement les procédures et les exigences de l'étude
- Volonté et capable de se conformer à toutes les procédures de l'étude, y compris en suivant les recommandations pour maintenir leur régime alimentaire habituel et leur activité régulière, conformément au protocole
- Capable de communiquer, y compris en lecture, en anglais
Critères d'exclusion principaux :
- Avoir fumé une cigarette, une cigarette électronique, un cigare, une pipe ou utilisé une drogue récréative au cours des 30 derniers jours
- Antécédents d'allergie ou de sensibilité à l'un des composants des produits à l'étude, y compris le lait, le soja et les amandes
- Don de sang 30 jours avant le dépistage/la ligne de base
- Incapacité à fournir un échantillon de sang veineux
- Participation à une autre étude dans les 30 jours précédant le début/le dépistage
- Être enceinte ou planifier de devenir enceinte pendant la participation à l'étude ; ou l'allaitement
- Avoir reçu un diagnostic, avoir reçu un traitement médical ou prendre des médicaments quotidiennement pour la ou les conditions médicales suivantes :
- Diabète sucré
- Trouble de l'alimentation
- Maladie inflammatoire aiguë ou chronique ou maladie auto-immune
- Maladie cardiovasculaire
- Maladie gastro-intestinale, y compris problèmes de vésicule biliaire, calculs biliaires ou obstruction des voies biliaires
- Maladie thyroïdienne (à moins que vous ne preniez une dose stable de médicament pendant 3 mois avant le dépistage et qu'il soit peu probable que vous changiez de médicament ou de dose pendant l'étude)
- Hypertension (sauf si vous prenez une dose stable de médicament pendant 3 mois avant le dépistage et il est peu probable que vous changiez de médicament ou de dose pendant l'étude)
- Trouble psychiatrique
- Trouble/maladie neurologique
- Cancer (sauf si le cancer de la peau autre que le mélanome a été traité > 3 ans avant le départ/dépistage)
- Maladie active ou chronique du foie, du pancréas et des reins
- Trouble de la coagulation sanguine
- Autre condition ou utilisation de médicaments qui empêcherait la participation à l'étude selon le jugement de l'investigateur/sous-investigateur (Sub-I)
- Prend actuellement ou a pris dans les 30 jours précédant le dépistage/la ligne de base un traitement hormonal substitutif (y compris la DHEA (déhydroépiandrostérone), l'œstrogène, la progestérone ou la testostérone ; à l'exception de ceux utilisés comme méthode de contraception et qui ont été pris pendant > 3 mois , sans changement anticipé pendant la durée de l'étude)
- Prend actuellement l'un des suppléments nutritionnels utilisés dans l'étude et ne veut pas interrompre l'utilisation au moins 14 jours avant le dépistage.
- Prend actuellement un médicament ou un supplément nutritionnel spécifiquement pour la perte de poids et ne veut pas interrompre l'utilisation 14 jours avant la première dose de suppléments à l'étude
- Participe actuellement à un programme de perte de poids et ne souhaite pas interrompre sa participation avant l'inscription à l'étude
- Prenez actuellement un anticoagulant, un médicament antiplaquettaire ou un médicament hypoglycémiant
- Avoir subi une intervention chirurgicale ou avoir un dispositif médical interne qui, de l'avis du PI/Sub-I, empêcherait la participation à l'étude
- Avoir des valeurs de test de laboratoire de dépistage anormales, y compris la bilirubine> 2,5 x LSN (limite supérieure de la normale), AST / SGOT (aspartate aminotransférase / glutamine oxaloacétique transaminase sérique) et ALT / SGPT (alanine aminotransférase / transaminase glutamique pyruvique sérique)> 2,5 x LSN, sérum créatinine > 1,5 mg/dL, glycémie < 85 mg/dL ou > 125 mg/dL et TSH (hormone stimulant la thyroïde) > 4,12 µUI/mL, ou tout autre résultat de test de laboratoire qui empêcherait la participation à l'étude dans le jugement du PI/Sub-I
- Avoir des lectures de tension artérielle au départ/dépistage> 140 systolique ou> 90 diastolique sur deux lectures consécutives, sauf autorisation de passer à la prochaine visite au jugement du PI / Sub-I
- Consomme actuellement plus de 7 boissons alcoolisées standard par semaine pour les femmes et 14 boissons alcoolisées par semaine pour les hommes (une boisson alcoolisée standard est définie comme une bouteille/canette de bière, un verre de vin ou une once d'alcool fort)
- Ne peut pas ou ne veut pas éviter de consommer du jus de pamplemousse ou du pamplemousse frais, des oranges de Séville et des tangelos
- Avoir toute autre circonstance qui empêche la participation à l'étude dans le jugement du PI / Sub-I, y compris l'utilisation d'autres suppléments nutritionnels qui seront évalués au cas par cas.
