- 55歳以上。
- アルツハイマー病、血管性認知症、混合型認知症の診断
- Neuropsychiatric Inventory Questionnaire (NPI-Q) で、12 項目中少なくとも 3 項目が「存在する」と評価されています。
- コリンエステラーゼ阻害薬、抗うつ薬、抗精神病薬の使用は、少なくとも 2 か月間安定した用量であれば許可されます。
- メマンチンおよび/またはセロトニン再取り込み阻害剤の使用も、少なくとも 2 か月間安定した用量であれば許可されます。
- 投薬を手伝い、研究参加者の情報を提供し、すべての研究訪問に参加できる、献身的な介護者を用意してください。
- すべてのテストを完了するのに十分な英語力。
- MMSEスコアが25以下。
除外基準:
- -過去2か月以内に抗精神病薬または抗コリン薬の使用を開始した参加者。
- ワルファリン(Coumadin、jantoven)、rivaroxaban(xarelto)、fondaparinux(arixtra)、dibigatran(pradaxa)、apixaban(eliquis)、dalteparin(fragmin)、enoxaparin(lovenox)などの血液希釈剤の参加者。 アスピリンの使用は許可されています。
- 特定された介護者のいない参加者。
- -薬中毒または薬物中毒によって引き起こされたせん妄のある参加者。
認知障害発症前に以下の疾患にかかったことのある参加者:
- アルコール依存症
- 躁うつ病または双極性障害
- 統合失調症
- -悪性腫瘍または急性炎症性疾患のある参加者。
- -重大な循環器、呼吸器、腎臓、または肝臓の疾患または糖尿病の参加者。
- BMIが30以上。
- 過去1年以内にフェルガード、フェルラ酸、またはトウキのサプリメントを摂取した参加者。

実験的:フェルガード
12 週間にわたって、参加者は 1 日あたり 280 mg のフェルガード 100M ハードジェル カプセルを 2 つ (午前 1 カプセル、午後 1 カプセル) 服用します。
朝は食事と一緒に1カプセル、午後は食事と一緒に1カプセルを服用してください。
各カプセルには、180.32 mg のフェルラ酸と 20.02 mg のアンジェリカ アークアンジェリカが含まれています。
1日の総摂取量は、フェルガード100Mが560mgで、フェルラ酸が360.64mg、トウキが40.04mg含まれています。

フェルガードは、日本で市販されている栄養補助食品で、1.5 g のインスタント パウダー パケットの形で販売されており、ヘルス クリニックで販売されているほか、医師の推奨により Glovia Co. Ltd から患者に直接販売されています。
現在の研究では、1.5 g パケットと同量の有効成分 (フェルラ酸とアンジェリカ アークアンジェリカ) を含む 280 mg ハード ゲル カプセルの形でフェルガードを使用します。
二重盲検のプラセボ対照試験を実施するために、Feru-guard は不透明なハード ゲル カプセルに含まれています。これにより、粉末を使用した研究よりも特性がよりよく一致し、盲検が改善されます。
