배경:
현재 약 1,700만 명의 미국인이 당뇨병 진단을 받았으며 그 중 90% 이상이 제2형 당뇨병을 앓고 있습니다. 이전에 성인 발병 또는 비인슐린 의존성 당뇨병으로 알려진 이러한 형태의 당뇨병을 가진 사람들의 수가 급속도로 증가하고 있습니다. 2050년까지 당뇨병 진단을 받은 미국인의 수는 165% 증가한 2,900만 명으로 예상되며, 이 중 2,700만 명이 제2형 당뇨병 환자가 될 것입니다. 심혈관 질환(CVD)은 제2형 당뇨병 환자의 주요 사망 원인입니다. 이 사람들은 당뇨병이 없는 사람들보다 2~4배 더 높은 비율로 CVD로 사망합니다. 그들은 또한 치명적이지 않은 심장 발작과 뇌졸중을 더 많이 경험합니다.

디자인 내러티브:
