Critère d'intégration:
- patients récemment diagnostiqués avec un glaucome primitif à angle ouvert ou une hypertension oculaire
- Ethnies caucasiennes et afro-américaines
- Mâle et femelle
- 30 ans et plus
Critère d'exclusion:
- Une histoire d'utilisation de médicaments oculaires au cours des 12 derniers mois
- Maladies cutanées inflammatoires / allergiques ou dermatite
- présence de lésions cutanées hyperpigmentées périoculaires
- Troubles pigmentaires systémiques
- Utilisation de médicaments systémiques pouvant affecter la pigmentation de la peau
- Visite de salons de bronzage ou utilisation de produits autobronzants
- Grossesse ou patientes prévoyant de devenir enceintes dans un proche avenir

L'étendue de l'hyperpigmentation cutanée périoculaire induite par le latanoprost, le bimatoprost et le travoprost sur une période d'un an chez les patients nouvellement diagnostiqués à angle ouvert primaire et à l'hypertension oculaire.

La couleur périoculaire de la peau a été mesurée avec le Minolta Chroma Meter CR-400 et le système L*a*b*, également connu sous le nom de Commission Internationale de l'Eclairage. Il s'agit d'une unité de mesure bien acceptée dans laquelle L* correspond à la luminosité et a* et b* correspondent à la chromaticité. Les mesures ont été prises au départ et à 1 an. Les données de chaque point dans le temps et de chaque emplacement (paupières supérieures et inférieures ou joues/visage) ont été moyennées et soustraites de la valeur de référence pour cet emplacement. Six zones prédéterminées sur et autour de la paupière supérieure et inférieure et 2 zones du visage/de la joue ont été mesurées. Les valeurs des paupières supérieures et inférieures ont été moyennées et rapportées comme une valeur unique pour chaque emplacement, c'est-à-dire les paupières supérieures, la paupière inférieure et la joue/le visage. Une diminution de la luminance indique une pigmentation accrue au site de mesure. |
