Este estudio aleatorizado de fase II tiene como objetivo determinar la eficacia y la toxicidad de nimotuzumab combinado con quimiorradioterapia para el cáncer de pulmón de células escamosas localmente avanzado no resecable.
Se planeó que todos los pacientes recibieran una dosis radical de radiación torácica y quimioterapia simultánea de docetaxel y cisplatino semanales, cada uno de 1 día de duración.
El grupo de nimotuzumab fue tratado con nimotuzumab semanal (200 mg, IV) combinado con quimiorradioterapia, mientras que el grupo control fue tratado con quimiorradioterapia.

Descripción
Criterios de inclusión:
- cáncer de pulmón de células escamosas confirmado histológicamente
- los pacientes tienen lesiones medibles o evaluables según los criterios de evaluación de respuesta en tumores sólidos (RECIST)
- cáncer de pulmón no resecable en fase IIIA (N2) y IIIB confirmado por TC o RM
- Estado funcional ECOG 0-1
- Previamente tratados con quimioterapia o sin tratamiento previo
- sin radioterapia torácica previa, inmunoterapia o bioterapia.
- hemoglobina≥10 mg/dL, plaquetas≥100000/μL, recuento absoluto de neutrófilos ≥1500/μL
- creatinina sérica ≤1,25 veces el límite superior normal (UNL) o aclaramiento de creatinina ≥60 ml/min
- bilirrubina ≤1,5 veces UNL, AST (SGOT) ≤2,5 veces UNL, ALT (SGPT) ≤2,5 veces UNL, fosfatasa alcalina ≤5 veces UNL
- VEF1 >0,8 l
- CB6 dentro de los límites normales
- los pacientes y sus familiares firmaron los consentimientos informados
Criterio de exclusión:
- carcinoma adenoescamoso
- otra neoplasia maligna anterior o reciente, excepto cáncer de piel no melanoma o cáncer de cuello uterino in situ
- contraindicación para la quimioterapia
- mujeres en embarazo, período de lactancia o sin prueba de embarazo 14 días antes de la primera dosis
- mujeres que tienen probabilidad de embarazo sin anticoncepción
- tendencia a la hemorragia
- en otros ensayos clínicos dentro de los 30 días
- adictos a las drogas o al alcohol, pacientes con SIDA
- convulsiones incontrolables o pacientes psicóticos sin capacidad de autocontrol
- alergia severa o idiosincrasia
- no apto para este estudio juzgado por los investigadores
