- 21歳以上
- 英語の読み書きができること
- 研究期間中、公認心理師または医師のケアを受けている
- 鍼治療またはMBSDの臨床承認
- セッションの 80% に参加できる
- 1 日 20 ~ 30 分、週 6 日スキルを練習する意欲がある
- 向精神薬を服用している場合は、ベースライン前の 30 日間安定した用量を服用
- 簡易症状インベントリ(BSI)のスコアが 0.5 以上
除外基準:
- 重大な病気や精神疾患がある場合
- CGI-S スコア 6 または 7 で証明される症状の重症度
- 現在の自殺願望
- 活動的なアルコール依存症または薬物依存症
- 別の臨床試験に現在登録されている
- 大手術が予定されている
- 12週間の学習期間中にその地域から移動する計画がある
- 現在妊娠している、妊娠する予定がある、または避妊手段がない

参加者は介入を受けました。

MBSR プログラムには、8 週間にわたるグループ形式の毎週 2.5 時間のセッションと、1 日のリトリートが含まれていました。
正式な実践には、マインドフルな呼吸、座る瞑想、歩く瞑想、穏やかなハタヨガ、ボディスキャン、マインドフルな意識など、いくつかの種類の瞑想が含まれていました。
参加者には、毎日20分間、週に6日間、自宅で練習するよう求められた。

PCL-IV は、PTSD の 17 の DSM-IV 症状の自己申告尺度です。
合計の症状重症度スコア (範囲 = 17 ~ 85) は、1 「まったくない」から 5 「非常にひどい」までの範囲の回答オプションを持つ 17 項目のそれぞれからのスコアを合計することによって得られました。
スコアが高いほど、PTSD の症状が悪化していることを示します。
参加者は、ベースライン来院時に研究コーディネーターによって評価され、4週間目に治療中評価、8週間目に治療後評価、12週間目に1か月の追跡評価が行われました。
介入の効果は、反復測定、ベースライン、4、8、12週間の各結果の平均スコアの混合モデル分析を使用して評価されました。

21 項目の BDI-II は、広く使用され、標準化され、検証されたうつ病の症状の重症度の自己報告尺度です。
うつ病の感情的、行動的、生物学的、認知的、および動機付けの症状に対処します。
参加者は経験した症状の重症度を最もよく表すレベルを示すために発言を 0 から 3 で評価しました。
評価は合計スコアとして合計され、4 ~ 9 は「正常」、10 ~ 18 は「軽度」、9 ~ 29 は「中等度から重度」、≧ 30 は「重度」を示します。
スコアの範囲は 0 ~ 40 です。
スコアが高いほど、うつ病の症状が悪化していることを示します。
