Doel; Het doel van deze studie is om de Western Ontario Osteoarthritis of the Shoulder Index (WOOS) specifiek voor schouderartrose aan te passen aan het Turks en de validiteit en betrouwbaarheid ervan te evalueren.
methoden; De WOOS-index werd systematisch vertaald en cultureel aangepast aan het Turks. Het werd toegepast bij 68 patiënten met conservatief behandelde artrose van de schouder. De betrouwbaarheid van de schaal werd gecontroleerd door middel van interne consistentie en test-hertestmethoden. Interne consistentie werd geanalyseerd met de alfawaarde van Cronbach. Test-hertestbetrouwbaarheid werd beoordeeld met behulp van een intraclass-correlatiecoëfficiënt bij 25 patiënten. De Western Ontario Rotator Cuff (WORC), de Shoulder Pain and Disability Index (SPADI) en de The Society of American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons Standardized Shoulder Assessment (ASES)-score werden gebruikt om gelijktijdige validiteit uit te voeren.

Uitsluitingscriteria:
- Analfabetisme, cognitieve stoornissen, aanwezigheid van schouderomtrekfracturen
