De aanwezigheid van NAFLD verhoogt niet alleen het risico op T2DM, maar versnelt ook het proces van verschillende diabetesgerelateerde orgaanschade bij patiënten met T2DM. Evenzo verhoogt T2DM ook het risico op NAFLD. Bij patiënten met T2DM zijn er echter weinig rapporten over de correlatie tussen ultrageluidverzwakkingsparameters voor niet-invasieve beoordeling van levervetgehalte en insulineresistentie. Bovendien is T2DM mogelijk de belangrijkste voorspeller van ongunstige klinische uitkomsten bij NAFLD-patiënten. T2DM is een belangrijke voorspeller van NAFLD-patiënten die progressie maken naar gecompenseerde geavanceerde chronische leverziekte (cACLD), en zelfs cirrotische portale hypertensie en andere leverziekten in het eindstadium.
In februari 2020 stelden internationale experts voor om NAFLD om te dopen tot metabole geassocieerde leververvetting (MAFLD). In april van hetzelfde jaar bracht het Journal of Hepatology een nieuwe definitie en diagnose van MAFLD uit met de criteria gebaseerd op histologische (leverbiopsie), beeldvorming of bloedbiomarker die de aanwezigheid van vetophoping in de lever (hepatocytsteatose) aangeeft, in combinatie met een van de volgende 3 aandoeningen: overgewicht/obesitas, diabetes type 2 en metabole disfunctie. De nieuwe diagnostische criteria zijn gebaseerd op onderliggende metabole afwijkingen en erkennen dat MAFLD vaak samengaat met andere ziekten.
Daarom heeft deze studie tot doel de prevalentie en klinische kenmerken van MAFLD bij patiënten met T2DM te onderzoeken, evenals de correlatie tussen UAP en insulineresistentie bij T2DM. Patiënten zullen tot 5 jaar worden gevolgd voor de klinische resultaten na respectievelijk 3 maanden, 6 maanden, 12 maanden, 36 maanden, 48 maanden en 60 maanden en de risicofactoren die de klinische resultaten van patiënten met T2DM beïnvloeden, zullen worden geanalyseerd.

- Gediagnosticeerd als T2DM volgens de Chinese richtlijnen voor de preventie en behandeling van diabetes type 2
- UAP werd gemeten op basis van iLivTouch
- Bereid om deze studie bij te wonen en in staat om de schriftelijke geïnformeerde toestemming te geven.
Uitsluitingscriteria:
- Andere soorten diabetes
- Patiënten die niet in staat zijn om regelmatig gecontroleerd te worden
