Interventi mobili personalizzati per ridurre l'esposizione a sostanze chimiche che alterano il sistema endocrino (EDC) nelle donne in età fertile e nei loro partner
L'obiettivo di questo studio di intervento è determinare fino a che punto il programma Million Marker (MM) riduca i livelli di esposizione degli utenti a sostanze chimiche che alterano il sistema endocrino (EDC) e modifichi la loro consapevolezza e comportamenti di salute ambientale. Le principali domande a cui intende rispondere sono:
- Gli investigatori possono vedere una riduzione dei livelli di EDC nei campioni di urina dei partecipanti dopo aver utilizzato il kit MM Detect and Detox?
- Gli investigatori possono vedere un cambiamento nell'alfabetizzazione, nella conoscenza e nei comportamenti della salute ambientale dei partecipanti dopo aver utilizzato i prodotti e i servizi di MM?
- In che modo Million Marker può migliorare la propria app e piattaforma per migliorare l'esperienza dell'utente? I partecipanti raccoglieranno le loro urine prima e dopo l'intervento e effettueranno un sondaggio completo sull'esposizione (tramite l'app MM) prima di restituire i loro campioni. Questo sondaggio sull'esposizione chiederà informazioni sull'uso del prodotto, sulla dieta e sui comportamenti dello stile di vita dei partecipanti. I partecipanti compileranno anche sondaggi prima e dopo l'intervento valutando la loro percezione della salute ambientale, nonché l'usabilità della piattaforma.

Criterio di inclusione:
- età 18-40 anni
- in buona salute, non incinta, esente da diabete o malattia renale nota o cancro (queste condizioni possono interferire con il metabolismo dell'EDC)
- in grado di comprendere l'inglese scritto e parlato
- già acconsentito al ricontatto con l'Healthy Nevada Project
- possedere uno smartphone
- disposto a completare tutte le valutazioni di studio

- sarà iscritta solo una donna e il suo partner per nucleo familiare

Sperimentale: Programma di riduzione dell'EDC mobile
Il primo programma di riduzione delle sostanze chimiche che alterano il sistema endocrino mobile (EDC) di Million Marker (MM) sarà testato e convalidato in uno studio prospettico di intervento di coorte longitudinale.
50 donne in età riproduttiva e i loro partner saranno reclutati dall'Healthy Nevada Project, uno sforzo esistente di monitoraggio della salute in tutto lo stato.
Utilizzando i servizi di MM, i campioni di urina dei partecipanti verranno raccolti due volte (prima e dopo l'intervento) per misurare i cambiamenti nei livelli di EDC.
I cambiamenti nell'alfabetizzazione, negli atteggiamenti, nelle conoscenze e nei comportamenti della salute ambientale dei partecipanti saranno valutati dopo aver utilizzato i prodotti e i servizi di MM.
Al basale (primo test) e al termine del secondo test saranno condotti sondaggi convalidati sull'alfabetizzazione sanitaria ambientale e sulla prontezza al cambiamento e analisi dei comportamenti dello stile di vita dei partecipanti e dell'uso del prodotto.
Gli investigatori valuteranno l'usabilità dell'app MM e della piattaforma per migliorare l'esperienza dell'utente, utilizzando il sondaggio SUS (System Usability Score).

Million Marker fornisce un test delle urine per posta per bisfenolo A (BPA) e ftalati.
Gli utenti effettuano un'indagine completa sull'esposizione (tramite l'app MM), inviano i loro campioni, visualizzano i loro report personalizzati con raccomandazioni sui prodotti su misura, apportano modifiche per ridurre le loro esposizioni e riprovano per monitorare i loro progressi.
I partecipanti compileranno anche sondaggi per valutare i cambiamenti nella loro alfabetizzazione sulla salute ambientale, disponibilità al cambiamento e analisi dei comportamenti dello stile di vita e dell'uso del prodotto.
