Lactobacillus Plantarum PS128:n vaikutukset lapsilla, joilla on autismikirjon häiriö
Autismispektrihäiriö (ASD) on hermoston kehityshäiriö, joka voi aiheuttaa merkittäviä sosiaalisia, kommunikaatio- ja käyttäytymispuutteita.
Probiootteja pidetään aktiivisina mikro-organismeina.
Probiootit voivat riittävällä määrällä säädellä suolistoflooraa, suoliston läpäisevyyttä, tulehdusta ja kehon antioksidanttireaktioita.
Nämä reaktiot voivat edistää terveyttä entisestään, säädellä aineenvaihduntasairauksien etenemistä ja ehkäistä komplikaatioita.
Lactobacillus plantarum PS128:n (PS128) on raportoitu olevan psykobiootti useissa eläin- ja ihmistutkimuksissa, jotka moduloivat välittäjäaineiden tasoja eri aivoalueilla.
Tämän tutkimuksen tarkoituksena on arvioida, voiko PS128:n käyttö parantaa ASD-potilaiden oireita.
Nykyinen satunnaistettu, lumekontrolloitu tutkimus suoritettiin PS128:n psykofysiologisten vaikutusten tutkimiseksi koululaisilla, joilla on ASD.

Sisällyttämiskriteerit:
- (1) Ikä 7-12 vuotta.
- (2) PS128-ryhmä ja lumeryhmä: Lapset, joilla on autismikirjon häiriö, vahvistettu Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule -ohjelmalla.
- (3) Normaali kontrolliryhmä: Lapset, joilla ei ole autismikirjon häiriötä.
Poissulkemiskriteerit:
- (1) Antibioottien saaminen kuukauden sisällä.
- (2) Probiootit, joita käytetään jauheena, kapselina tai tablettina kahdessa viikossa (paitsi Jogurtti, Jogurtti, Yakult ja muut vastaavat ruoat).
- (3) Potilaat, joilla on maksan ja sappien maha-suolikanava, joille on tehty leikkaus (paitsi tyräleikkaus ja umpilisäkkeen poisto)
